“The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (‘MNIT’), partnering with the Minnesota Department of Health (‘MDH’), Public Health Laboratory (PHL), Infectious Disease Laboratory (IDL) section, seeks a new packaged software Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solution that will meet the current and future needs of the IDL section. The scope of this procurement includes both the provision of the software and the performance of implementation related services. The State may also engage the vendor to perform additional work on the implemented system (such as enhancements, implementation of new modules, etc.) via subsequent amendment(s) to the resultant contract. The State is seeking an existing COTS solution that is configurable/customizable to meet State needs. The State is NOT seeking a vendor to custom build a solution from the ground up … The ideal replacement solution will allow IDL to expand its current electronic test ordering and reporting (ETOR) capabilities, while maintaining current HL7 messaging feeds (e.g. VPD, LRN, DAART, etc). In addition, the replacement solution should enable data transfer into cloud-based systems and data lakes, allowing IDL to share information with our public health partners to enable appropriate public health action.”
