Prequalified Consultants Lists For Petroleum Contaminated Sites
Sealed proposals addressed to the Bureau of Purchases, Burton Cross State Office Building, 4th Floor, 111 Sewall Street, Station # 9, Augusta, ME 04333-0009 and titled “Qualification Statement: Soil and Groundwater Hydrogeologic Investigations and Remedial Actions at Petroleum Contaminated Sites in Maine” must be received by APRIL 29, 2004 at 2:00 PM.
The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP) intends to establish State-wide, and Regional Pre-Qualified Lists of Environmental Consultants that will be hired to conduct any or all of the following four (4) Investigation and Remediation Categories: 1 – Conduct hydrogeologic investigations, and environmental sample gathering, 2 -Conduct soil remediations and/or soil excavations, 3 – Evaluate, design, implement, and maintain pump and treat technology, and vapor phase recovery remediation systems, and 4 – Locate, install, and sample private water well replacements. This work will be conducted at sites having suffered petroleum contamination from leaking underground storage tanks (LUST), leaking aboveground storage tanks (LAST), and other petroleum hydrocarbon discharges which require long-term response actions. This work will be accomplished under the direction of MDEP’s Technical Services, and Remediation Project Management staff.
All Qualification Statements will be evaluated by a committee of three (3) MDEP Remediation and Waste Management Program staff in accordance with the conditions stated in the Qualification Statement Requirements section. Evaluations will be based solely on information presented in the qualification statement relative to the specific remediation category.
