Research Associate

We are currently looking for a Research Associate. In that position, the Research Associate will: 

Handle word processing, spreadsheet, and internet search projects under supervision of the Project Manager; 
Conduct and summarize literature reviews using PubMed, World of Science, the internet, and other resources and databases; 
Assist with manuscript and proposal submissions including document formatting; 
Maintain project files and meeting minutes, track payment processing, and conduct other administrative responsibilities; 
Monitor and assist with recruitment, tracking, and scheduling of participants for research studies; 
Contribute to day-to-day research operations, including conducting data management and subject management activities, with an emphasis on mixed methods research; 
Develop and format charts, graphs, tables, and other graphics for grant proposals, conference presentations, and manuscripts; 
Contribute to graphic design, web development, and film production activities; 
Maintain and update social media outlets, NERI's website, press releases, and study-specific websites.

Requirements: 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 2 years' experience in a research setting, or equivalent experience; 
Demonstrated interest in public health and health-related research is required; an interest in health services and disparities research is preferred; 
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills (especially phone and email to act as liaison between project team and external collaborators); 
Ability to work independently to perform and organize a variety of research support tasks and prioritize under strict deadlines; 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment are required; 
Fluidity with MS Office applications required; an interest in or familiarity with graphic design and/or experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred but not required; an interest in or familiarity with web design and/or HTML also preferred but not required.
