Job Description
The Research Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of non-clinical laboratory studies for preclinical consulting services and early-stage drug discovery and development services in rodent species. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing animal health care services, including handling and restraint of animals, performing animal health checks and assisting in the local delivery/transport of animals.
- Performing prescribed treatments on animals
- Performing or assisting investigators in the performance of technical procedures, including immunizations, bleeding of experimental animals, weaning, and necropsy.
- Maintaining animal room records.
- Complying with all regulatory guidelines, occupational health as well as health and safety programs, in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assisting scientists with research and record findings
Requirements
- 1 -2 years of laboratory animal experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science preferred
