In September 2018, we introduced SoftBiobank, which targets all your biorepository management needs so you can annotate, store, and distribute biospecimens.
A Web-based, purely thin-client solution, SoftBiobank is designed to support the storage of samples and data. Specimen retrieval, chain of custody, storage location, and seamless integration with laboratory information systems are utilized to support biorepository operations. The system also enables collaboration between researchers while ensuring data security and regulatory compliance. Easy data querying and reporting capabilities make SoftBiobank ideal for customers who run large and demanding biorepositories and collections.
Features include biobank data management, data querying, and reporting tools, cutting-edge IT standards, multi-site capabilities and efficient workflow and management. SoftBiobank also fully supports the use of mobile devices. Multi-site accessibility is easy and safe with the latest advances in IT and security. The platform can be extensively configured to even the most demanding data management needs, including Big Data-oriented environments. Specimen preparation allows material collected and received in SoftBiobank to be prepared for check-in to bio storage. Sample preparation tasks such as preparing aliquots of the biological material can be done according to protocol requirements. All operations are recorded in the audit trail and can be easily accessed directly for the given sample at any time.
