SCC Soft Computer™ Achieves ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification

Clearwater, Florida – June 28, 2021 – SCC Soft Computer announced recently the company achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification on May 25, 2021.  With this certification as a medical device manufacturer, SCC Soft Computer will be held to new international standards for information security management systems and cybersecurity.

In December 2019, as part of SCC’s global expansion—combined with the company’s continued commitment to quality, SCC embarked on a mission to obtain ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. To achieve this certification, an audit was required, and the company was inspected by Intertek, a UKAS certified auditing organization.

·         The stage 1 audit took place at the end of November 2020.

This audit focused on ensuring SCC’s procedures are compliant with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 requirements.

·         The stage 2 audit took place in May 2021.

This audit focused on ensuring procedures are being followed, and included an in depth inspection of SCC’s records for objective evidence.

·         SCC was informed on May 25, 2021, the company had achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification.
