Sciformatix Corporation and E&K Scientific Announce Partnership
LOS GATOS, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sciformatix Corporation, a pioneer in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) delivered via the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, today announced that the company has entered into a partnership with E&K Scientific, the premier provider of laboratory supplies and instrumentation to academic, biotech and pharmaceutical research laboratories. Under terms of the agreement, E&K Scientific will act as a distributor and reseller of Sciformatix SciLIMS products throughout California.
The agreement accelerates the Sciformatix entry into these important markets while rounding out the E&K product line. E&K will provide the Sciformatix SciLIMS solutions – which help small and mid-size labs manage their samples and storage in a professional yet affordable manner – to their customer base of regional and multinational organizations across life sciences industries.

The SciLIMS SSM solution is available in limited distribution through the end of February 2009 when it will be available for general distribution. The product is priced aggressively, based upon monthly per user subscriptions. Prices for the SciLIMS SSM solution start as low as $50 per month for each user in a starter solution. Lab group and professional editions are also available, providing increased features and higher subscription fees.
