Senior Scientist
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Inflammatix, Inc. is a venture-backed startup located in the San Francisco Bay Area that is building a gold-standard diagnostic for sepsis based on our unique immune biomarkers.
Sepsis (a complication of some infections) is associated with half of all in-hospital deaths, and is the single most expensive diagnosis nationally ($24 billion). Inflammatix has a breakthrough solution: we ‘read’ the immune system using our unique biomarkers based on the body’s gene expression in the blood. These biomarkers can determine presence, type (bacterial/viral) and severity of infection. They have been extensively validated and published in top-tier medical journals. This first product will be a rapid diagnostic for use in hospitals and clinics. After this initial product, Inflammatix plans to develop and commercialize additional novel diagnostic tests to address significant unmet clinical needs.
