Senior Technical Writer

The Role: STARLIMS Senior Technical Writer plans and develops application system documentation and manages and improves documentation processes.
Works with technical and business leaders to:
- Develop system/software lifecycle (SDLC) documentation.
- Collaborate with technical groups to ensure accuracy of end user documentation.
- Support other groups in adhering to established documentation style and quality standards.
- Plan, research, format, write, test, revise, proofread, and edit educational documents and technical publications.
- Introduce and improve processes to generate better documentation more efficiently.
- Report software defects and collaborate with developers to assist with issue resolution.
Who You Are:
- Experience of at least seven years of professional technical writing.
- Ability to manage documentation projects with minimal or no supervision.
- Ability to supervise and mentor less experience writers.
- Capable of developing quality document plans, style guides, user manuals, installation guides, online help, getting started guides, quick reference sheets, information mapping processes proposals and reports at need.
- Experience writing technical documents for software products.
- Recommended Bachelor's degree in English or Technical Communications, or equivalent education and experience combined.
- Recommended proficiency in some of the following tools: RoboHelp, Help & Manual, InDesign, Publisher, Visio, SnagIt, and Adobe Acrobat DC; particularly RoboHelp.
