SeqWright deploys Geospiza Finch Suite into commercial production
Geospiza, an industry-leading provider of integrated laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and automated data analysis systems, announced today that SeqWright has deployed the Geospiza Finch Suite into commercial production.
SeqWright, one of the largest providers of custom DNA sequencing and related services with thousands of customers throughout North America and Europe, will leverage the Geospiza Finch Suite to increase the scale of their information technology infrastructure in response to a growing market demand for services. SeqWright has sole-source contracts with several of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, in addition to a contract with a global provider of laboratory products and services which serves 350,000 customers located in approximately 145 countries.
“We are very pleased that SeqWright has chosen the Geospiza Finch Suite as a platform to scale their IT infrastructure and manufacturing operations. There is a lot of energy in the industry for DNA sequencing applications in clinical trials, pharmacogenomics, environmental testing, human identification and molecular diagnostics, and organizations such as SeqWright will benefit from the power of IT to scale their business. With 10 years of automation experience, Geospiza and the Finch Suite were a natural choice” said Kevin M. Banks, Ph.D., Vice President of Business Development at Geospiza.
Ken Paynter, Operations Director at SeqWright adds, “Our success as a business is directly dependent on cost-effectively delivering high quality results and services to our customers. With SeqWright’s business growing, we identified Geospiza as the best partner for helping our company grow to the next level, because of both the scalability of its Finch Suite and the commitment of Geospiza’s software development team. Already being used in our production-process today, the Geospiza Finch Suite is simplifying the way our customers place orders and how our laboratory technicians manage their day-to-day workflow and data distribution processes.”
