SLAS Launches Member Video Series

CHICAGO—The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) recently introduced a video series featuring Society members sharing their opinions about SLAS and how the organization has helped their careers. Thirteen SLAS members participated in the series, including professional researchers, engineers and scientists from AstraZeneca, Harvard NeuroDiscovery Center at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research, Promega Corporation and the University of California Los Angeles.

“This video series is a wonderful testament to the relevance and value of SLAS to our primary stakeholders, our valued members” said Daniel G. Sipes, SLAS president. “Letting our members share their personal stories of learning, connecting and growth facilitated by SLAS shows the meaningful and authentic benefits the Society delivers though our many programs and services. We’re especially proud of our ‘by scientists, for scientist’ quality that is echoed again and again through these insightful testimonials by our members.”

Continued SLAS CEO Greg Dummer, “SLAS is, by and large, our members and their collective knowledge and experience. As a professional society, we are fortunate to provide a gateway through which all of our members can benefit from the wisdom and access our global membership community shares freely with one another. I would like to thank the select group of members, and their organizations, for participating in this first-of-its-kind video series for SLAS.”
