SLAS Young Scientist Awards Brings Global Participants to SLAS2014
CHICAGO – The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) Young Scientist Awards Program will honor achievement by three students at SLAS2014, the Third Annual SLAS Conference and Exhibition, which will be held Jan. 18-22, 2014, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif., USA.
Undergraduate students, graduate students and post-doctoral students from around the world compete for these prestigious SLAS awards annually by authoring poster presentations that received top honors at events presented by allied scientific organizations, including the European Laboratory Robotics Interest Group (U.K.), Institute of Food Technologists (U.S.) and MipTec (Switzerland).
“Continued advancement of the laboratory science and technology field depends on new technologies, new ideas and new thought leaders,” SLAS President Jeff Paslay said. “The SLAS Young Scientist Awards Program is another excellent example of how SLAS reaches out to the next generation of talent.”

Each SLAS Young Scientist Award delegate receives a $500 cash prize, roundtrip airfare to SLAS2014,shared hotel accommodations and full conference registration (which includes access to 130 podium presentations, 300+ poster presentations, 17 short courses, 300+ exhibitors and scores of other workshops, meetings and special events). In addition, SLAS Young Scientist Award delegates are invited to enter their work in the SLAS2014 Student Poster Competition.
