Source Sought Notice – LIMS In South Africa

Source Sought Notice – LIMS In South Africa

The National Health Laboratory Service is assuming responsibility (from the Provincial Health Authority) for 53 laboratories in the Kwa-Zulu Natal province in South Africa. The level of computerization in these labs varies from none (paper-based) to those that have a LIMS installed.  A new LIMS is to be selected as the standard for that province.

The NHLS operates in the other 8 provinces in South Africa on a distributed LIMS at a further 180 laboratories.  No immediate plans are in place for replacement of that LIMS.

We are looking for vendor sources that are capable and willing to implement an enterprise level Laboratory Information Management System in South Africa within the next 6-8 months. Vendors will need to establish and maintain a support office in South Africa and have proven experience in operating very large systems.

This is not a request for proposals and no solicitations will be entered into. A tender will be issued in due time.
