Sr. Business Analyst/Strategist (MES)

Job Description:
The candidate will participate on building the technical strategic plan to integrate mixed systems from LES to Manufacturing to Quality to help develop the process mapping strategy for these systems.
Knowledge of LES and MES, Quality and Manufacturing strategies for cross-platform process mapping, mixed system integration. Should know what ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) is and how it is used across platforms. Ability to develop the process model from requirements to design to implementation.
- Create high-quality user and functional requirements
- Create use cases
- Schedule meetings, document meeting notes and distribute meeting notes to invitees
- Track defects
- Participate in interviews, site visits and facilitated sessions with business Users
- Initiate required regulatory and SDLC documentation
- Collect information regarding and monitor progress of business analysis activities
- Create as-is and to-be narratives
- Create and manage gap documentation
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a requirements traceability matrix
- Coordinate defect triage
- Identify business needs for laboratory informatics solutions
- Facilitate one-on-one or small group interviews with business users
- Identify opportunities for business process improvement, including changes required to successfully adopt new laboratory informatics solutions
- Provide estimates for workstream activities, including dependencies, to the Project Manager
- Identify, manage and resolve risks and issues related to the workstream
- Provide Project Manager with status updates, activity progress and schedule updates
- Maintain excellent client relationships
- Review and estimate change requests
- Create and maintain SDLC documentation
- Contribute to all areas of system implementation including but not limited to vendor interaction, system compatibility, change control, qualification, deployment, and training
- Work with project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA, CAPA, CLIA, GxP, HL7 as well as internal policies and processes
- Analyze requirements to determine priority and business value
- Create and deliver training materials to end users
- Collect and monitor progress on project activities from resources
- Determine and document overall workstream approach
- Plan and estimate activities within the workstream
- Provide leadership for all resources within a specific workstream including client, vendor, consultants and associates
- Perform stakeholder identification and analysis
- With business stakeholders, implement business process improvements
- Determine if defects are valid and disposition them
- Identify the optimum solutions to harmonize laboratory and business functions
- Perform quality assurance for business analyst documentation, deliverables and work products
- Perform research of mild, moderate, high or very high complexity into business processes, SOPs, system documentation and work instructions
- Facilitate medium to large group workshops with business users
- Mentor and train junior business analyst resources
- Verification of validation and testing process to ensure business needs are met
- Provide strategic direction to the IT, Scientific, and Management teams based on combination of industry and technical knowledge
- Perform enterprise analysis
- Provide best practices in process improvement for business and laboratory functions based on experience and knowledge
- Engineer new processes and optimize existing processes
- Manage vendor selection, project preparation and strategic assessment engagements and projects
- Develop methodologies and processes to enhance the business analyst role
- Create a customized requirements traceability matrix specific to the needs of the client
- Generate markers and success factors
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 Year degree in an applicable field
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Expert understanding of four or more lab types
- Expert understanding of four or more industries
- Expert understanding of four or more laboratory systems
- 7-10 Years of experience in Laboratory Informatics projects
- 7-10 Years of experience working in regulated environments
