Sr. Director, R&D
This is an important, high profile and visible role and requires an individual with outstanding communication and cross-functional leadership skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in Clinical and other relevant functions within MedImmune and external academic collaborators. The individual must be a strategic leader who can be a strong voice for TM on the iMED and work with a fast-paced clinical and product development organization to translate fundamental insights into the molecular heterogeneity of respiratory diseases into targeted therapeutic and biomarker hypotheses that can be tested in clinical trials. The successful candidate is expected to drive the publication of biomarker data in top-tier scientific, technical or medical journals.
Requirements:
Qualifications
•MD, PhD/MD or PhD degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g. molecular biology, cell signaling, bioinformatics, chemical engineering)
•Minimum of 15-20 years post-MD/PhD experience in an academic and/or industry setting
•Outstanding record of cross-functional leadership capabilities, e.g. leading product development teams
•Outstanding verbal and written communications skills are a must.
