Sr Materials Planner
Reporting to the Materials Management Lead, the Materials Planner will provide on-going day-to-day operations and planning support to the clinical and commercial GMP Manufacturing Operations, for all products and therapeutic areas at Spark.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead site materials plan cycle (Raw Materials/Consumables through to Bulk Drug Substance) for GMP manufacturing
• Lead the MRP process including inventory projection and control, coordinate all aspects of supply planning and notify stakeholders of GMP manufacturing and purchasing needs
• Coordinate, review, prioritize and schedule the delivery of GMP raw materials & consumables to meet target dates and prevent stock shortage to meet the needs of manufacturing operational plans and projections
• Collaborate with partner departments to ensure material availability in alignment with manufacturing schedule, i.e. material sampling and testing time allowance
• Develop and maintain ERP system and materials supply process
• In collaboration with QC, QA and other cross-functional areas establish and maintain materials and product inventory system
• Participate as required in sample submission to internal or external laboratories
• Support Quality Systems through Change Control/Deviation/CAPA for material related issues
RESPONSIBILITIES
:
• Responsible for full life cycle materials plan for all GMP manufacturing; from planning, delivery, to execution
• Liaise with external GMP suppliers to ensure material needs, specifications, and quantities for manufacturing are met
• Maintain material inventory based on materials status
• Coordinate and track orders
• Resolve materials and supplier issues promptly
• Accountable for the MRP process including inventory projection and control
• Responsible for cross functional coordination of all aspects of supply planning
• Notifies stakeholders of GMP manufacturing and purchasing needs
• Ensures materials are in compliance with internal procedures and regulations
• Ensures all materials are available to meet the needs of manufacturing operational plans and projections
• Coordinates and communicates with manufacturing leaders on planning and scheduling of campaign material needs according to production schedules
• Ability to display proactive reasoning required
• The Materials Planner will interact with Manufacturing, Project Management, Finance, QC, QA or Facilities to coordinate e.g. receipt, testing and release of materials for manufacturing.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds

REQUIREMENTS
:
• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Supply chain, Engineering, Sciences or equivalent relevant experience
• Generally has 5+ years of relevant experience in biologics/pharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing environment
• Must have working knowledge of MRP Systems, Inventory control and the production planning process in GMP environment
• Requires thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
