SR. scientist (Cranbury, NJ): perform analytical method development for drug substances/prod; perform assays/impurities method validation; perform analytical method transfer from R&D to QC; write developmental reps, SOP's, Protocols/Test Methods. Masters deg. in Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry, or rel. + knowledge of HPLC, SOP prep., ANDA rep., OOS/OOT investigations, ICH guidelines, execution of USP Methodologies/cGLP. (foreign equiv. degs. OK). EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS/MS/PhD in the chemical, pharmaceutical or life sciences with at least four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
JOB PREREQUISITES:
– Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hr week. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.
– Requires superior writing skills. Requires exceptional attention to detail with the ability to focus on current assignments. While Laboratory mistakes are unavoidable they must be kept to a minimum due to their ramifications.
– Requires initiative and self-motivation works with moderate supervision in a detail-oriented manner. Requires the ability to work on multiple projects in a concurrent manner.
– Must possess the ability to work in an independent manner, as well as a group environment.
– Satisfactory completes initial and annual training for cGMP and corporate operating procedures.
– The individual must have demonstrated thorough working knowledge of chemical analysis, including HPLC. The position requires good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to comprehend complex instructions and tasks. The individual must also have a fundamental understanding of algebra and statistics.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, MENTAL REQUIREMENTS, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The individual must be able to work in a laboratory environment and be able to safely handle standard laboratory reagents. The individual must have sufficient manual dexterity to perform precision measurements and manipulate delicate equipment and glassware. The individual must have adequate visual abilities for using burettes, volumetric glassware and other types of laboratory equipment. The ability to discern color changes is also required.

– Ability to receive instructions and follow works rules and company policies.
– Ability to follow safety and security practices.
