Surgient Powers Siebel University Virtual Labs
Surgient, a leading provider of on-demand applications for test and training lab automation, today announced that Siebel Systems, the leading provider of customer-facing solutions, has deployed Surgient’s Virtual Training Management System (VTMS) to enable live, hands-on technical training labs as part of Siebel University’s Virtual Classroom offerings.
Siebel University, Siebel Systems’ customer and partner training organization, delivers compelling technical and end-user training through multiple delivery methods including classroom and self-paced online training. Siebel University recently added virtual classroom offerings that provide live instructor-led training in an online collaborative environment. Using Surgient’s VTMS, Siebel University offers hands-on labs online that enable students to fully interact with live Siebel applications from any location using a web browser.
“Surgient’s virtual lab application enables us to provide a best-of-breed online classroom experience as part of our overall education strategy,” said Brad Samargya, Group Vice-President, Siebel University. “Virtual labs enable students to practice and prove technical competence in our virtual classroom environment in the same way they can in a physical classroom.”
“Surgient’s VTMS reduces training delivery costs for Siebel and other customers while increasing training reach and agility,” said Erik Josowitz, Surgient’s Vice President of Marketing. “Now Siebel University can offer more classes and train more students resulting in better-trained and more successful customers and partners.”
