Sysmex America, Inc. And Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. (BIO) Sign Co-Marketing Agreement Adding VARIANT(TM) II TURBO To Sysmex Hematology Automation Line
Sysmex America, Inc., a leading medical diagnostic instrument manufacturer and information systems developer, has signed a co-marketing agreement with Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research products and clinical diagnostics. Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will market their complementary products, the Sysmex HST-NTM Hematology Automation Line and the Bio-Rad VARIANT(TM) II TURBO HST Hemoglobin Testing System*, together. This agreement will provide laboratories with the ability to use one lavender top tube for testing CBCs, sed rates and A1C.
With this agreement, Sysmex America and Bio-Rad will mutually promote the benefits of their complete system for Lavender Top Tube Management(TM). Bio- Rad will sell and distribute their VARIANT II TURBO HST System and Sysmex will sell their complete HST-N hematology automation line, as well as the track for the Bio-Rad system.
The Sysmex HST-N Hematology Automation Line performs the entire process of CBC, 5-part differential, nucleated red cell enumeration, reticulocyte analyses, blood film preparation and slide staining without operator intervention. It can also perform sed rate analysis when supplied with the InteRRliner(TM) Automated Sed Rate Module. The VARIANT II TURBO HST Hemoglobin Testing System combines Bio-Rad’s fully-automated and highly precise TURBO A1C Reagent Kit with Sysmex’s fully-automated whole blood primary tube sampling systems and powerful software to offer the Complete A1C Solution. This complete automation solution offers labor and time savings to the laboratory.
