Educational Offering Importance

As the nation’s leaders continue their endeavors to reshape healthcare via new models of efficiency such as ACOs, clinical-laboratory instrument manufacturers must ask the question: “How is the clinical laboratory going to evolve over the years to come, and what can we do to shape and support that development?”  Sysmex America helps clinical laboratory professionals better understand key management issues faced by hospital administrations today, including:

  • Declining reimbursement from Medicare/Medicaid and managed care programs, indigent care shortfalls and their impact on patient care delivery.
  • The need to trim operational costs, while maintaining the quality of patient care that meets or exceeds standards.
  • Understanding the contributions of the clinical laboratory to quality patient care, overall care path efficiencies and financial returns in today’s healthcare landscape.

“More than ever before, healthcare providers must balance the need to provide quality patient care with the need to deliver that care as efficient and cost effectively as possible,” said Ralph Taylor, Executive Vice President Marketing, Sysmex America, Inc. “These needs are not going to change, so we consider it our responsibility as a leading instrument manufacturer to provide meaningful service and educational offerings that squarely address those challenges. These Sysmex offerings stand out competitively and remain unique in the industry.”
