Sysmex Completes LIS Project for Esoterix’s Seven Laboratories
Sysmex America, Inc., a world leader in laboratory design, systemization and solutions, recently completed the implementation of its MOLIS laboratory information system for Esoterix, Inc., a leading laboratory services company. This implementation was completed in less than two years, covering seven laboratory locations across the U.S. and Europe.
Esoterix currently operates a variety of laboratory operations including oncology, endocrinology, allergy & asthma, coagulation, infectious disease, molecular genetics, clinical trials and central safety testing. With MOLIS, the special needs and unique requirements of each of these laboratories could be preserved while still maintaining one overall application and database.
In just under two years, Esoterix replaced seven legacy LIS’s with MOLIS in order to provide one seamless and unified appearance to its diagnostic and clinical trials customers.

MOLIS uses a programming language called MPL (MOLIS Programming Language) that allows software customization to occur without negatively impacting thecore system. MOLIS can be configured to support each lab’s own unique requirements and still remain part of a larger integrated and standard LIS.
