Taratec Announces Senior Management Promotions
Taratec, a leading life science consultancy that provides integrated business, information technology, and regulatory compliance services, announced two key management promotions. Jim Macdonell has been appointed Managing Partner, Industry Practices, and Kathleen Warner, Ph.D., has been appointed Vice President of Project Management.

As Managing Partner, Industry Practices, Macdonell has ultimate responsibility for Taratec’s consultants – the foundation for Taratec’s leadership in compliance, validation, and regulated systems and processes. Reporting to Macdonell are practice directors in the following areas: Clinical; Safety & Medical Affairs; Computer System Validation Methodology and QA Programs; LIMS and Laboratory Informatics; Instrument Compliance; Enterprise and Integrated Systems; and Manufacturing Systems and Equipment.
Since joining Taratec in 1989, Macdonell has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales and management, most recently serving as Vice President of Taratec’s Manufacturing and Distribution Practice. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.
As Vice President of Project Management, Warner assumes responsibility for Taratec’s team of project managers. This includes ultimate responsibility for the successful delivery of client projects, focusing on the most current methodologies, certifications, and communications to ensure client satisfaction.
Warner previously served as Vice President of Taratec’s R&D Practice. Prior to joining Taratec, she served as CIO/Vice President, Information Technology at both Harvard Clinical Research Institute and Boston College. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, a master’s degree in Applied Management from Lesley University, and a doctorate in education and technology from Capella University.
Both positions do not include responsibility for Puerto Rico, where local management and operations remain unchanged.
