TECAN US LAUNCHES FREEDOM EVOWARE® SOFTWARE AT LAB AUTOMATION 2004

Research Triangle Park, NC and San Jose, CA February 2, 2004 –  Tecan US, a leader in the Life Sciences supply industry, today introduced Freedom EVOware,® a unique pipetting and instrument control software package with dynamic scheduling for Tecan’s Freedom EVO series of liquid handling workstations.  This flexible software package simplifies the control of Freedom EVO with its intuitive graphical interface that makes it easy-to-use by all levels of laboratory personnel.  In addition, Freedom EVOware® provides support for compliance with 21 CFR part 11 regulatory requirements.

The EVOware® software package guides the user through the program and can manage the simplest to the most complex scheduling and operative tasks.  Drag-and- drop moves simplify worktable definition, and application templates speed the creation of protocols.  3D simulation saves valuable time by enabling the user to preview the process before running it on the Freedom EVO.  In addition, Freedom EVOware® offers system integrators an extensive library of over 75 drivers for detection, separation, robotics and plate handling and storage devices from Tecan and 3rd party vendors. System customization is supported through a variety of open interfaces for device drivers, automation, work listing and messaging, providing flexibility for all levels of users.
