Test Automation/Quality Engineer

Position Summary

The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for integrating test automation industry standards and best practices. Primary responsibilities include executing automated test suite, reviewing regression test cases, developing and maintaining automated test scripts, and creating a library of custom functions. This candidate will have a strong technical capacity with an analytical mindset and good problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
  • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
  • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
  • Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • Knowledge of Selenium, Jenkins, Maven, JDK, TestRail, TestNG, Cucumber
  • Proven experience 4 + years as a Test Automation Engineer.
  • In-depth understanding of test automation framework and scripting development using industry tools like Selenium, Jenkins, Maven, Java, and other applicable toolsets.
  • Knowledge of program testing software
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD ADP and VA High Risk Background clearance.

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 6+ years of industry experience is preferred.

Security Clearance: The start of the security clearance process is up to the discretion of the company and may begin no later than the successful completion of the first 90 days of employment, and commensurate with job requirements and the needs of the business. Successful completion of the security clearance process may not be required for every position but all candidates must be willing to submit to the process if requested by their manager according to the requirements of the position and business needs.
