The Avantis unit of Invensys plc today announced Release 3.2 of the Avantis

FOXBORO, MASSACHUSSETS, USA – January 29, 2004The Avantis unit of Invensys plc today announced Release 3.2 of the Avantis.XA product line.  Introduced 20 years ago for the IBM AS/400 hardware platform, Avantis.XA continues to provide large, capital-intensive organizations with a comprehensive asset management solution to maximize equipment uptime and help eliminate costly, unplanned breakdowns.  Release 3.2 builds on these capabilities with many new and advanced features designed to further enhance user productivity.

“Avantis.XA users represent an important segment of our total customer base,” said Ryan Roberts, vice president and general manager of Invensys’ Avantis unit.  “These latest Avantis.XA software enhancements for IBM’s solid AS/400 hardware suite evolved out of specific inputs from our many loyal Avantis.XA users around the world, who continue to include the product in their strategic plans.”

“Rather than trying to tell us what product enhancements they thought we needed, Avantis made the extra effort to find out what additional features were most important to us, the long-time users of Avantis.XA.  After thoroughly testing the beta version of Release 3.2, it’s obvious that Avantis was listening very closely,” said Bill Clark or PCS Phosphate in North Carolina, Chairperson of the Avantis UAC.

Avantis.XA Release 3.2, available immediately, is delivered at no charge to customers currently under an annual support agreement.
