University of Oklahoma Deploys Ariadne Pathway Studio to Create Cancer-related Pathway Collection

ROCKVILLE, Md. – October 4, 2006 – Ariadne Genomics, Inc. today announced that the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (Oklahoma City, OK) has deployed its Pathway Studio software solution to develop a comprehensive collection of cancer-related pathways. The collection will be made available to Ariadne customers at no charge as an add-on to the pathway analysis product line.

“We will perform scientific evaluation of pathway expansion and microarray data analysis algorithms available in Pathway Studio,” said Dr. Dee Wu, an associate professor at the OU Health Sciences Center. “Then we will build up a collection of cancer-related pathways using its built-in ResNet database and advanced pathway reconstruction and literature mining tools.”

“We are very excited about our relationship with the University of Oklahoma,” said Anton Yuryev, Director of Application Science at Ariadne. “This future custom collection of cancer pathways will provide a great addition to the extensive Pathway Studio database collection and will expand the scope of the software to cover particular areas of cancer research.”

Pathway Studio (formerly known as PathwayAssist) enables life scientists to identify relationships among proteins, small molecules, cell processes and treatments and to automatically extract relevant biological interactions from scientific literature. With the product’s resident up-to-date ResNet database of over 1 million interactions extracted from PubMed and approximately 1,000 predefined pathways, researchers can easily reconstruct regulatory networks from their microarray and proteomics data, identify biomarkers, and model drug responses.

Pathway Studio is available as a desktop or workgroup solution. A 20-day fully functional trial version can be found on the Ariadne Web site at www.ariadnegenomics.com .
