Vice President – Sales (m/w/d)
Our startup is growing, and we are looking for a Vice President Sales (m/w/d). If you are an experienced sales leader ready to take Labforward sales to the next level, especially in Germany and in the US, we would like to hear from you!
About the role:
- Recruiting and building a passionate and successful sales team from the ground up
- Defining and optimizing sales processes and strategies that enable fast growth, especially in the Pharma & Biotech segment
- Reporting on sales metrics, budget and strategy to senior executives and investors
- Training, developing and motivating your sales organization to ensure high productivity and employee retention
- Advising sales representatives on their current deals, such as supporting them with negotiating terms, resolving obstacles and closing contracts
- Leading by example – contribute to sales efforts, pitching enterprise customers and ensure company sales targets are met
About you
- You have a scientific or engineering background, and at least 7 years experience selling either software or complex instruments to laboratories, particularly to enterprise customers in pharma/biotech.
- Experience in selling ambitious digital transformation or process automation projects is a strong plus.
- 3+ years experience of managing and scaling a sales team (including inside sales). Demonstrable history of consistently achieving or exceeding ambitious sales targets in a company with at least €10-100m in annual revenues.
- Great communication skills with fluency in English and German (both spoken and written) and the ability to connect effectively with various stakeholders
- Able to keep the team motivated and engaged with focus on support and constant development to identify gaps in the team and build up skill sets
- Extensive presentation skills with expertise in building tailored messaging based on the prospect profile and their needs.
- You truly understand the data challenges of laboratories and have a strong affinity for and understanding of lab software solutions (ELN, LIMS, LES, etc.)
