Event Overview:
“Maintaining adequate staffing levels of qualified employees is a challenge for many clinical and public health laboratories. It is a known fact that professional laboratory training programs are not graduating enough students to fill the numerous vacant laboratory positions that exist across the nation, and the need for certified laboratory professionals is growing.
Hiring people with science degrees who lack laboratory certification and providing training to help these new hires prepare to pass a certification exam and become certified has been a successful option for some laboratories. The speaker will share how he developed a training program that works for his laboratory.
A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 1.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.”
