WEF is a not-for-profit technical and educational organization that focuses on point sources of pollution (i.e., pollution caused by direct sewage discharge into public waters) and nonpoint sources of pollution as well (i.e., pollution caused by indirect contamination of water, for instance, run-off of fertilizers into a river via stormwater).
