Operations Assistant
Organovo is seeking an Operations Assistant to work with the Facilities and Materials Management teams to support the company’s laboratories and clean rooms.
Operations Assistant Responsibilities Include:
Cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment and clean rooms
Overseeing biohazard waste management
Cleaning and preparation of biohazardous waste flasks
Stocking of consumable items in all laboratory spaces and clean rooms
Receiving deliveries and verifying accuracy of packages
Sterile preparation of laboratory glassware, tools, and reagents
Performing inventory counts and maintaining inventory locations as directed
Organization and maintenance of assigned facilities support spaces including warehouse and inventory stocking areas
Supporting vendor and service provider visits
Preparing and distributing stock solutions
Accurate and reliable record keeping including database management and all pertinent documentation
Requirements:
Operations Assistant Skills and Experience:
1-2 yrs of experience in a clean room or laboratory environment is highly desired
Prior experience working with hazardous material preferred
Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion
Effective communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
AA or BS degree in Biology, Biotechnology or a related field, or equivalent experience in a laboratory setting
