ABBOTT INFORMATICS LAUNCHES STARLIMS TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM 11.7

April 2nd, 2019 – Hollywood, FL. Abbott Informatics is pleased to announce important updates to version 11.7 of the world-class STARLIMS Technology Platform.

Abbott Informatics’ STARLIMS Technology Platform, the foundation of all of our solutions, is built around an improved HTML5 infrastructure that supports current desktop, server and mobile operating systems. Secure and adaptable, STARLIMS provides virtually seamless and secure communication, and automated reporting. The updated platform’s innovative XFD to HTML5 converter is designed to simplify generating HTML5 applications from XFD, using existing tools, workflows and even text. Take the stress out of learning new technologies by leveraging existing code base from XFD applications.

This release of 11.7 also introduces:

  • A new External Client XCL licensing model for external users where clients of customers will be able access the STARLIMS Request Management Portal, submit and inquire on testing requests
  • A portal branding kit which will allow the ability to personalize the logos and colors for external users (clients of our clients) within the Request Management HTML5 portal
  • Systems interfacing (HL7)
    • Extend STARLIMS interfacing capabilities to any other system besides DI Instrument Manager, via file based HL7 communication
    • Improved HL7 definition, maintenance and import/export abilities
    • Improved HL7 mapping abilities to STARLIMS database tables and fields, and calculations
    • Improved HL7 handler development and maintainability
