The current backlog as of April 10th, 2006 is around 2800. I'm proposing at Wikipedia talk:Maintenance that this category be sorted by date to help clear out the backlog. Please feel free to comment on the proposal--Rayc 21:28, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'd just like to note that part of the reason for the backlog is that this template and category are far too often applied to articles that don't really belong here. I've just checked about ten articles at random, and although some of them were short stubs, only one of the bunch was actually something that belonged here; all of the other nine provided more than sufficient context. Articles should not be filed here just because they're short stubs; that's what the stub categories are for.

So just a reminder to everyone: let's all please try to keep in mind the distinction between a short but valid stub and an article that actually needs a context clarification. Bearcat 22:20, 25 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Completely agreed - so many stubs are tagged with context when they do not lack context, but hey, I've cleared out 1-9 so far and starting some work on 'A' later today. Martin Hinks 10:13, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm confused what is so incomplete about phylogenetic footprinting introduction? How can I delete the backlog sign form the page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by LubaV (talk • contribs) 04:06, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
