Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Michael York
As I added an article to the WP:WikiProject Biography requests for re-categorisation list, I thought I should take a look at another request to shorten the backlog a little. So I picked Michael York. Well it certainly isn't a Start article any more, but I'm unsure about what rating it should have. I have a problem with the Career section because it seems to me to be a fairly arbitrary selection of plays and films from the tables. To find a benchmark, I had a look at two articles about his contemporaries: Charlotte Rampling (Start!) and David Hemmings (C). It is not as good as either so, as the article stands, I'd have to give it a C.
As I've never done a Bio assessment before, I'm not sure that it is fair of me to leap in and just apply that tough rating. But if you are content to accept it, then I will. If not, I'll let it stand in the queue for someone else to do. But without a major overhaul of the career section, I can't see a better rating in prospect.
